Concerts and Live Events

I’ve been fortunate enough to get the chance to shoot many of my favorite artists at popular venues across the tri-state area — and even some farther off places. Occasionally these concert images have appeared in camera reviews at The Verge. Musicians I’ve photographed include Ben Folds, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band, David Gray, Dead & Company, Goo Goo Dolls, Gregory Alan Isakov, Guster, The Hold Steady, John Mayer, The Lone Bellow, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Nelly, Phish, Ruston Kelly, and more.

I love the rush that comes with working live events and have also shot numerous All Elite Wrestling (AEW) pay-per-views and TV events.

Product Photography

My goal when shooting gadgets has always been to capture magazine-worthy images that are several levels above typical “blog” photos. I try to tell a visual story with my review images, constantly seek out new shooting environments to keep things fresh, and diversify the people featured in my product shots. More often than not, I stick to real-world scenarios rather than bringing devices into a studio.

I’d be nowhere without the wisdom and creative input of past and present colleagues including Amelia Holowaty Krales, James Bareham, Kristen Radtke, Vjeran Pavic, Becca Farsace, and others.

As for what gear I use, unless I’m reviewing a specific body from another camera manufacturer, you’ll almost always find something from Fujifilm in my hands. Most recently, that’s been the Fujifilm X-H2.
